Senate Bill 230 from Senators Santarsiero, Haywood and Comitta calling for an increase to Tier I of the AEPS (renewables) from 8% to 30% by 2030 as an economic development opportunity for the commonwealth. The bill would enable community solar and increase the in-state solar carve out from 0.5% to 14% - with 8% from utility scale solar, 2% from community solar and 4% from distributed solar (i.e., customer generators)..
